Some easy bread maker recipes include country white bread, basil-parmesan bread and cinnamon raisin bread. For both recipes, follow the manufacturer’s recommended order when adding wet and dry ingredients to the bread maker.
To make the white bread, add 1 1/2 cups of lukewarm water and 2 1/2 teaspoons of bread machine yeast to the bread pan. Pour in 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of bread flour, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Cook the bread on the machine’s quick setting with medium crust.
To make basil-parmesan bread, add 1 1/3 cups of lukewarm water and 2 1/4 teaspoons of active drive yeast. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 crushed clove of garlic, 2 teaspoons of dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano and 4 cups of bread flour. To these ingredients, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 5 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese. Bake the bread on the basic setting with medium crust.
To make cinnamon raisin bread, add 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Add these ingredients with 2 1/2 teaspoons of bread machine yeast in the order the manufacturer recommends in the machine’s instructions. Set the machine to the basic, white or sweet cycle. Five to 10 minutes before the machine finishes kneading the dough, add 3/4 cup of raisins.
