An easy biscotti recipe contains sugar, all-purpose flour, vegetable oil, eggs and several other ingredients. This recipe takes 40 minutes to prepare, including 15 minutes for prepping and 25 minutes for cooking. This recipe makes 42 servings.
To make the biscotti, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Then, beat together, in a medium bowl, 1/2 a cup of vegetable oil, 3 eggs, 1 cup of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of anise extract until the ingredients are well-blended. Combine 3 1/4 cups of flour and 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and then pour the flour mixture into the egg mixture until a dough is created.
Divide the dough into two sections, and forms each section into a roll as long as the cookie sheet. Put the roll on the cookie sheet, and press it down until it is 1/2 inch thick. Bake the dough for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. When they are done, place the baked dough onto a wire rack.
When the dough has cooled, slice the dough crosswise into 1/2 inch sections. Put the dough back on the cookie sheet to cook for an additional six to 10 minutes on each side. The biscotti is now ready to eat.
