An easy beef short ribs recipe is the Food Network's easy barbecue short ribs by Sunny Anderson. This recipe includes boneless beef ribs and a homemade barbecue sauce made from brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, white vinegar and paprika.
Begin by laying 4 pounds of boneless beef short ribs chopped in 3-inch long pieces in the bottom of an oven-safe baking dish. Rub with salt and pepper to taste. Next, make the barbecue sauce. Pour 2/3 cup of light brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 2/3 cup of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Season with 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon of dried ground thyme. Mix the sauce together, then pour it over the short ribs.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for up to three hours. Remove the foil and cook for another 30 minutes. Remove from the oven once the top of the meat browns.
Alternatively, before baking dip the short ribs in flour, salt and pepper, then cook the meat in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat for up to four minutes on each side.
