BettyCrocker.com and KraftRecipes.com offer easy-to-follow slow cooker lasagna recipes. Both recipes require browning ground beef or ground sausage and layering the meat with cheese and uncooked lasagna noodles in the slow cooker.
To make KraftRecipes.com's slow cooker lasagna, brown 1 pound of ground beef, and add a 24-ounce jar of spaghetti sauce to the meat. In a bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese, 15 ounces of ricotta cheese, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Spread 1 cup of the meat mixture in the bottom of the slow cooker, top with lasagna noodles and cheese mixture, and continue layering the ingredients. Cook on low for four to six hours, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
To make the slow cooker lasagna on BettyCrocker.com, brown 1 pound of ground sausage and 1/2 cup chopped onion in a skillet, and add three 15-ounce cans of Italian-style tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons of basil and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 15 ounces of ricotta cheese and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese. Place 1/4 of the meat mixture on the bottom of the slow cooker, and top the meat with uncooked lasagna noodles and 1/4 of the cheese mixture. Continue layering, and cook the lasagna on low for four to six hours. Top with 1 cup of cheese, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
