Easy Bourbon Sweet Tea and Raspberry Limoncello Sangria are two drinks made with Limoncello. The tea uses the lemon liqueur with whisky for a refreshing summer cocktail, while the sangria recipe pairs the Limoncello with fresh fruit for a tangy treat.
To make Easy Bourbon Sweet Tea, pour 1 1/2 ounces of bourbon whiskey and 1/2 ounce of Limoncello in a glass. Fill the glass with ice, fill with iced tea, garnish with a lemon, and serve. For best results, use a high-end bourbon such as Makers Mark or Buffalo Trace, and a high-quality neutral-flavored tea. For a stronger flavor, use the hot brewing method by steeping the tea for five minutes before chilling it in the refrigerator.
Raspberry Limoncello Sangria uses a bottle of white wine mixed with the juice of one lemon, lemon zest and lemon slices. A good Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling or Gewurztraminer works best. Pour the wine and lemons in a large pitcher, add a few shots of Limoncello and 1/2 cup of pink lemonade. Before serving, add 1 1/2 cups of fresh raspberries.
To serve, fill glasses with ice, garnish with lemon slices and pour the sangria in the glass. For a sweeter drink, add 1/4 cup of sugar to the mix before serving.
