Dr. Oz's Green Drink, one of his favorite recipes according to his official website, is made from a combination of green vegetables, most importantly a large quantity of spinach and fruits. These are blended until smooth and frothy.
The quantities given are appropriate for making three to four servings. The green vegetables in the mix are two cups of spinach, 1/2 a cucumber, 1/4 head of celery, 1/2 a bunch of parsley and a bunch of mint. These are washed and picked over before being added to the blender. Three carrots are also added, after being scrubbed and topped and tailed.
The fruit for the mixture is cleaned and checked before being added to the blender. The basic list includes two apples, skin and core retained, 1/4 of an orange, 1/4 of a lime, 1/4 of a lemon and 1/4 of a skinned and cored pineapple. Some versions of the recipe, such as that demonstrated on Total Body Restart in 2015 also include a portion of root ginger, skinned and roughly chopped.
All of the ingredients are then blended until smooth. A light froth appears on the top of the mixture when it is ready. Individuals can serve the juice into the appropriate number of cups.
