To make Eagle Brand's Caramel Apple Streusel Squares, mix together 2 1/4 cup flour, 1 1/3 cups quick-cooking oats, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and 3/4 teaspoon baking soda and salt. Using a pastry blender, add in 1 cup of cold butter cut into pieces until the mixture has a crumb-like texture. Place all but 1 3/4 cups of the crumb mixture into a 13-by-9-inch baking pan. Bake the crumb crust for 15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
After the crust is baked, arrange five medium apples that have been peeled, cored and thinly sliced, on top. Mix together a 14-ounce can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 cup caramel topping, then pour over the apples. Combine 1 cup chopped walnuts and the reserved crumb mixture, and sprinkle over the apples and caramel. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 to 50 minutes. Cut the dessert into squares and serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel topping.
An easy dessert using Eagle Brand milk is Eagle Brand's chocolate fudge. In a saucepan over low heat, melt 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips with a 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk and a dash of a salt. After removing from the heat, add in 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla. Spread the fudge mixture into an 8-inch square pan lined with foil. Refrigerate the fudge for two hours, and then cut into squares to serve.Learn more about Desserts
