Two of the many delicious recipes available from the Food Network are grilled Korean-style skirt steak and toasted Israeli couscous salad with grilled summer vegetables. These and many other recipes from the Food Network's chefs and in-house kitchen are available at FoodNetwork.com.
The grilled Korean-style skirt steak recipe makes four to six servings and requires 20 minutes of preparation time, at least four hours of marinating time and 20 minutes of cooking time. The recipe uses 1 3/4 to 2 pounds of skirt steak trimmed and cut into four pieces, as well as 1 large white onion, 2 to 3 banana peppers and 1 cup of soda. Spices and herbs in the recipe are 3 tablespoons of sesame seeds, 4 cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup toasted sesame oil, salt and pepper. The sesame seeds are first toasted and then the ingredients other than the meat, onion and peppers are combined to make a marinate. The onions and meat are marinated for at least 4 hours and then grilled with the peppers until charred.
The toasted Israeli couscous salad with grilled summer vegetables combines couscous cooked in stock with marinated and grilled vegetables, including zucchini, asparagus, peppers and tomatoes. The marinate includes vinegar, mustard, garlic and olive oil and doubles as a dressing for tossing the couscous and vegetable combination.
