Swedish cabbage rolls and slow cooker cabbage roll casserole are two Crock-Pot, or slow cooker, recipes for stuffed cabbage. The casserole recipe provides a change from the traditional cabbage roll.
To prepare Swedish cabbage rolls in a slow cooker, boil 12 cabbage leaves for three minutes. Mix 1/4 cup tomato sauce, 1/4 chopped onion, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 cup cook rice and 1 pound ground beef. Place 1/4 cup mixture into each cabbage leaf, roll to cover, and place in crock pot. Combine an 8-ounce can of tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and pour over top of rolls. Cook on low for seven to nine hours.
