Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Pour a small amount of flour in the bag and shake to fully coat the inside.
Place a thawed turkey on a clean cutting board and remove the neck and giblets. Rinse the turkey thoroughly, including the cavity, and pat dry with paper towels.
Brush the outside of the turkey lightly with melted butter or oil, then season the turkey generously with salt, pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.
Place the turkey, breast side up inside of the oven bag. If you wish to add vegetables, such as chopped onions and celery, place those inside the bag first, then add the turkey on top.
Seal the bag loosely around the turkey using the included nylon tie. Cut six 1/2-inch slits into the top of the turkey bag to vent.
Place the bagged turkey inside of a large roasted pan, and place the pan in the oven. Cook the turkey until the internal temperature in the thickest part of the thigh reaches at least 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the turkey from the oven and let it sit in the bag for another 15 minutes before removing it.
