Do not remove the husks or silks from the ears of corn. A damp paper towel or tea towel can be wrapped around the ears of corn for added moisture during cooking.
- Cook the ears of corn
Place the corn in the microwave, and cook on high for approximately two to four minutes per ear, depending upon the wattage of the oven.
- Remove the corn from the husk
After carefully removing the corn from the microwave using a potholder or oven mitt, place the ears of corn on a plate, and cut off the bottoms of the ears with a sharp knife. Holding the corn by the top of the husk, shake it until the ear falls cleanly out onto the plate, free of silks and ready to eat.
