There are several ways to cook savoy cabbage, either by itself or with scallions and garlic. To prep the cabbage, cooks half it, core it and cut it crosswise, removing the thick ribs.
After prepping the cabbage, the cook simply places it in a skillet with a cup of water. After the water starts to boil, the cook reduces the heat and lets it simmer for 12 minutes. After it's finished cooking, it gets topped with butter and any seasonings. To cook the cabbage with garlic and scallions, the cook lets the garlic heat up in the skillet before adding the water, cabbage and scallions.
