To make basic pulled chicken in a slow cooker, put in 4 pounds of boneless chicken breasts, 1 large sliced onion and 1 tablespoon of seasoning, and cook on a low setting for four to five hours. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, and shred it before serving.
Pulled chicken can be seasoned with any seasoning blend, including salt and pepper, garlic and herb seasoning or barbecue sauce, and chicken thighs can be used in place of chicken breasts. To make pulled chicken using chicken thighs, remove the skin and excess fat from 3 pounds of boneless chicken thighs, and cook the chicken for four hours on high. Take the chicken out of the Crock-Pot when it is tender, and shred it with two forks.
To make barbecue pulled chicken in a slow cooker, slice 1 onion, and layer the onion evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season 4 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and place the chicken on top of the onion. Cover the chicken with barbecue sauce, and allow the chicken to cook for five hours on low. Take the chicken out of the slow cooker, shred it with two forks, and then return it to the slow cooker. Mix the chicken with the sauce before serving.
