Preheat the oven to 400 F. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of plain breadcrumbs with 1/2 cup of finely grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup each of chopped fresh basil and parsley, 1/4 cup of room-temperature whole milk and 1 tablespoon each of ketchup and tomato paste. Add 3/4 teaspoon of kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, 2 large room-temperature eggs, 2 minced cloves of garlic and 1 small finely chopped onion. Stir the ingredients with a wooden spoon. Add 1 pound each of ground dark turkey meat and spicy Italian sausage without the casing, and gently combine the ingredients using the hands.
Use a small cookie or ice cream scoop to form the mixture into 20 to 24 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them on a heavy non-stick baking sheet. Allow some space between each meatball and drizzle with olive oil. Set in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes until the balls are cooked through.
