Chicken wings can easily be cooked in a Crock-Pot, though the process takes several hours. In fact, using a Crock-Pot to cook chicken wings is considered one of the easiest ways to cook succulent, juicy wings.
Begin by whisking 1/3 cups of soy sauce, 1/3 cups of balsamic vinegar, 1/3 cups of brown sugar, and 1/4 cups of honey. This mixture forms the base flavors for the sauce, to which spices and other ingredients can be added to taste. Garlic, ginger, onion, and pepper are popular additives to the sauce. Sriracha is also common for adding a spicy kick to the wings. Coat 10 to 15 wings in the sauce, then insert the wings and sauce into the Crock-Pot. Cook at either a low heat for three to four hours or at a higher temperature for one to two hours.
Be sure to rotate the chicken a few times to ensure the meat cooks evenly. Once the chicken has finished cooking, remove it from the crock pot. Mix equal parts cornstarch and water, and lather the mixture over the wings. Place the wings back into the Crock-Pot for 10 to 15 minutes, then remove the wings and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds. This recipe makes six servings of wings and takes three to four to complete.
