Milky Way Pound Cake

  • 8 Milky Way bars
  • 1 cup butter softened and divided
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Melt the candy bars and 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Cream the sugar together with the remaining butter.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, to the butter and sugar mixture. Beat well after each egg.
  5. Stir together the flour and baking soda and add slowly to the wet mixture. Beat until smooth.
  6. Add the melted candy bar mixture. Mix well.
  7. Add the vanilla and nuts and stir well to combine.
  8. Once thoroughly combined, add the batter to a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan. Bake at 350 F for 75 to 80 minutes.
  9. Remove the cake from the oven and cool completely before frosting.

Frost with desired frosting and decorate using bite-sized Milky Way bars.
