Where Do Coffee Beans Come From?

Coffee beans can be found all around the world, but some of the world's best coffee beans can be found in Kenya, Colombia and Brazil. Other places that grow coffee include Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.

Coffee beans are actually grown on a tropical evergreen bush. These are generally found in the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. These bushes can grow up to 30 feet tall, and the fruit, or beans, can take almost a year to fully develop. Because coffee is usually grown in mountainous regions, there is usually not room for machinery, so the beans are picked by hand.
