The Mars Company produces 3 Musketeers, Milky Way, Snickers and Twix candy bars. The company also creates a line of Dove chocolate bars and Bounty bars.
Mars produced the first 3 Musketeers bar in 1932. The original candy bar was split into three sections featuring vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavors. However, shortages during World War II forced the company to abandon the vanilla and strawberry flavors. 3 Musketeer bars contain fluffy whipped chocolate covered in milk chocolate.
Milky Way bars first hit stores in 1923. The bars are chocolate malt-flavored nougat and caramel covered in chocolate. Snickers bars are the world's best selling candy bar and date back to 1930. Snickers bars are made of peanuts, caramel and nougat covered in milk chocolate. Twix Caramel Cookie bars consist of crunchy cookie and smooth caramel covered in chocolate. Twix first appeared in the United Kingdom in 1967 before coming to the United States in 1979.
Bounty bars are bars of moist shredded coconut covered in either milk or dark chocolate. Dove chocolate bars come in several varieties including milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cookies and crème, almond dark chocolate and mint and dark chocolate. The Dove bars come in single or large sizes.
