Nerds, SweeTarts, Spree, Runts and Laffy Taffy are all candies made by the Willy Wonka Candy Factory and marketed under the Wonka brand as of 2015. The Swiss corporation Nestle owns the Willy Wonka Candy Company.
Nerds are Wonka candies that come in boxes -- usually two separate flavors in each box. They feature rock-like shapes and a thin candy coating.
SweeTarts are spherical candies with both sweet and sour flavoring. Several versions of SweeTarts include giant chewy SweeTarts, gum and holiday-themed candies. The latter include hearts for Valentines Day, skulls and crossbones for Halloween, and chicks and bunnies for Easter.
Runts are similar to SweeTarts in that they are both sweet and tart. However, Runts come in different fruit shapes. The candy's flavor corresponds to its shape. A shiny candy shell coats each piece with a consistency similar to SweeTarts.
Spree candies are similar to both SweeTarts and Runts. The centers are similar to SweeTarts, and they feature a similar hard candy coating as Runts; however, the flavoring is somewhat different. Spree also comes in a chewy version.
Bottle Caps are also spherical candies. They're both hard and chewable. Their name relates to the soda-inspired flavoring, such as root beer, cola and cherry cola.
Laffy Taffy is a type of taffy with intense fruit flavoring. The "Laffy" part comes from the fact that the wrappers include jokes inside.
