The company Beardilizer claims its supplement stimulates hair follicles and promotes the growth of thick beards. However, experts say that facial hair growth is primarily a matter of genetics. No evidence supports the use of any supplement to promote hair growth.
Beardilizer contains vitamins, horsetail extract and methyl sulfonyl methane. Horsetail extract and MSM are both commonly taken to increase the speed of hair growth, but there is no evidence that either promotes growth.
A healthy diet and plenty of sleep may help improve hair growth. Letting the beard grow out for two or three months before beginning a program of regular trimming may also improve the final result.
