To make this show's version of green tomato salsa with grilled shrimp, toss 16 jumbo shrimp in 3 tablespoons of olive oil seasoned with 3 cloves of crushed garlic and 3 tablespoons of chopped fresh oregano, and grill each shrimp for two to three minutes. Make the green tomato salsa by blending 1 small white onion, 1 garlic clove, 1 small jalapeño, 2 tablespoons of capers and 1 bunch of cilantro in a food processor with the juice from 4 limes and salt and pepper to taste. Add in 3 medium green tomatoes, and serve the salsa over the grilled shrimp.
Make the summer corn and shrimp sauté recipe featured on "The Chew" by dusting 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp with 1 teaspoon of chili powder and 1 teaspoon of salt and then sautéing them in a pan with a little olive oil. After one minute, add the kernels from 2 ears of corn, 2 sliced garlic cloves, 1/2 thinly sliced red onion and 1 sliced Fresno chili. Sauté the mixture for a few minutes, and then pour in 1/4 cup of white wine. Simmer the mixture until the sauce reduces, and season it with the zest from 1 lime, 1/4 cup of basil, 1/4 cup of mint and 2 tablespoons of butter. Serve the sauté with salt, pepper and drizzled olive oil.
