Spatulatta is a free website featuring cooking tutorials for children, by children. Recipes are searchable by meal, ingredient, holiday and dietary restrictions. Spatulatta also provides children with information about basic skills, features a children's cooking blog and has a shop where adults can purchase cookbooks, kitchen tools and aprons for children.
Raddish is a mail-based culinary club for children and families. For a monthly fee, Raddish mails children a themed box with three recipes, a culinary skills card, shopping list and related activity. Parents and children work together to conduct culinary experiments, learn new cooking techniques and knife skills and prepare meals. The instructions for all activities are provided in adult language, complete with teaching tips, and in kid-friendly, step-by-step picture instructions with simple text for children. Raddish is a monthly club but boxes can be purchased individually. This is a great alternative for a family that may not live near a physical culinary school for children.
