Shrimp that has previously been cooked may be warmed in the microwave. Shrimp should be heated for 10 to 15 seconds in a microwave set to high heat.
Additional time may be needed, depending on the quantity of shrimp being reheated. The timer should initially be set for 10 seconds, after which time the shrimp may be checked. If the shrimp are not sufficiently hot, they may be further heated in the microwave in additional 10 second increments.
It is important that the shrimp are not microwaved for longer than necessary, since this could result in overcooked shrimp, which can be dry or unpalatable.
