Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice and peel four tomatoes. Rinse the tomatoes in a colander, and cover them with salt. Leave the tomatoes to drain for approximately 10 minutes. Place the tomatoes in a 9-inch pre-baked deep dish pie shell. Add 10 chopped basil leaves and 1/2 cup chopped onion, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix 1 cup grated mozzarella and 1 cup grated cheddar cheese with 1 cup mayonnaise. Glaze the tomatoes with the mixture and bake for 30 minutes. Slice the pie and serve warm.
