As of 2015, ready-made Doritos taco salad is not a featured product of the Frito-Lay Company, which manufactures Doritos products. The focus of the Frito-Lay company is snacks.
In addition to Doritos, Frito-Lay is the parent company of dozens of popular snack food brands, most of which are crunchy snacks such as chips or popcorn. A line of cookies as well as several dips and salsas are also featured as part of the company's snack food line. Frito-Lay was founded in 1932 and is a subsidiary of Pepsico, which also owns Pepsi, Quaker, Lays, Gatorade and Tropicana. Doritos was first introduced as a snack food in 1966.
