Melt 1/2 cup of margarine or butter in a saucepan at low heat, and add 8 ounces of chopped semisweet chocolate until the two ingredients are combined. Remove the saucepan from the heat. As it cools, beat 5 egg whites into stiff peaks in one bowl, and mix together 5 egg yolks and 3/4 cup of sugar in another bowl.
