Global Healing Center and Natural Society each host online lists of genetically modified foods they feel consumers should avoid. Global Healing Center lists 20 foods to avoid, and Natural Society's article addresses the 10 worst GMO foods.
As of 2015, both websites recommend that consumers avoid corn, sugar and soy due to high incidences of genetic modification. Global Healing Center suggests to also avoid foods made from any of these ingredients, such as corn starch or high fructose corn syrup. The Non-GMO Project warns that approximately 88 percent of corn, 94 percent of soy and 95 percent of sugar beets grown in the United States may have genetic modification.
