Food.com and Food Network both offer good pea-and-cheese recipes. While the recipe from Food.com has no meat in its ingredients, the recipe from Food Network uses bacon.
To make the vegetarian recipe to serve four people, use 10 ounces of thawed, frozen peas, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, two boiled eggs, 1/4 cup of chopped celery, 2 tablespoons of chopped onions, 2 tablespoons of pimentos, 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of hot pepper sauce. Cut the cheddar cheese into cubes, and chop the hard-boiled eggs. Mix the ingredients, and allow the mixture to chill for at least two hours.
Food Network's recipe serves about six to eight people. To make the dressing, combine 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar and a 15-ounce jar of salad dressing. Mix the ingredients for the dressing in a large bowl.
The other ingredients include 1 pound of cooked and cooled cavatapppi pasta, 1/4 cup of chopped red onion, 10 ounces of thawed, frozen peas, 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar cheese and six slices of cooked and crumbled bacon. Combine the rest of the ingredients in the dressing mix. If the salad is not going be served immediately, chill the combined ingredients, and only add the bacon before serving.
