Both Better Homes & Gardens and Good Housekeeping offer glossaries of common cooking terms on their websites. As of 2015, Better Homes & Gardens offers an alphabetized listing of terms beginning with “adobo sauce” and ending with “zest.” Good Housekeeping also alphabetizes its glossary, beginning with “al dente.”
To find the glossary on the Better Homes and Gardens official website, BHG.com, navigate to the home page, and click on the three white bars on the far left of the category tabs along the top. Next, click on Recipes, then Food – Main, and then How to Cook. Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on Cooking Basics, and then choose Glossary of Cooking Terms. On GoodHousekeeping.com, click on Recipes from the home page, choose Cooking Tips, and then click on Dictionary of Cooking Terms.
