White squash can be fried, steamed, grilled, sautéed, roasted and baked. Pan frying is the simplest method of cooking white squash and involves the fewest steps.
To prepare the squash for frying, it should be cut lengthwise and the seeds should be removed. In order to ensure that the squash is cooked evenly, it should be cut into chunks of roughly equal size. A small amount of oil such as vegetable or olive oil should be added to a pan and allowed to heat up under medium-high heat. Each side should be cooked for a few minutes until browned and then served as desired.
