The government of the United Arab Emirates does permit non-Muslim travelers, ages 18 and older, to bring some alcohol into the country. Travelers can do so without facing customs fees so long as simple restrictions concerning quantity and volume are observed.
Travelers may bring up to 4 liters of alcohol into the United Arab Emirates without incurring customs fees. Additionally, customs officials permit up to two 24-can cartons of beer, provided that the individual cans do not exceed 355 milliliters of volume, or the equivalent thereof. When traveling with alcohol, be sure to observe rules about traveling with liquids and the total luggage permitted on the flight.
