Calamansi juice is the juice of a Filipino citrus fruit that is similar to a key lime. The juice can be served hot or cold. It is used for medicinal purposes and also in Filipino cooking to season meats and enhance other dishes.
Calamansi fruit is a good source of Vitamin C and can be found at Asian or Filipino grocery stores. Some stores carry imported canned or frozen juice.
Oriental Mindoro, a province of the 7th largest island in the Philippines, accounts for approximately two thirds of calamansi production. The province also produces rice, bananas and other fruits in its large agricultural area.
