As of May 2015, Butterfinger is not running any promotions, but the company says it gives notice of new promotions on its Facebook page. The company also runs occasional promotions on Twitter. The Butterfinger candy bar was created in 1923 by Otto Schnering, founder of the Curtiss Candy Company. Nestle currently owns the brand.
