Brew fresh mint tea by pouring boiling water over slightly crushed mint leaves and allowing the leaves to steep. To brew fresh mint tea, use any variety of mint including spearmint, peppermint or chocolate mint.
Brew fresh mint tea by bringing 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot. While the water is boiling, fill a teapot with hot water directly from the tap, and let it sit until the water has boiled. Once the water boils, empty the teapot of the warm tap water, roll 4-5 stalks of fresh mint between your palms until it is crushed, and place the mint in the warm teapot. Pour the boiling water over the crushed mint, place the cover on the teapot, and allow the mint to steep for 5 minutes. Pour the tea into a teacup, and add sweeteners such as sugar or honey for a sweetened mint tea.
Brew mint tea with a French press by placing freshly washed and torn mint leaves into the press and pouring boiling water over the leaves. Allow the leaves to steep for three to seven minutes; a longer steep time creates a stronger mint tea. Add honey or splash of milk to the mint tea.
