Basic white bread is an easy recipe for the Breadman machine, and onion cheese bread is a variation on this. Whole wheat cranberry bread is another good recipe for the Breadman.
For a 1.5-pound loaf of basic white bread, heat 1.25 cups water to 80 degrees, and pour into the bread pan. Add 2 tablespoons of butter cut into pieces, 2 teaspoons sugar, 2 tablespoons skim milk powder and 1 teaspoon salt. Float 3.25 cups flour on the liquid, and make a well. Add 1.25 teaspoons bread machine yeast. Set the Breadman to white, and press start.
A variation of basic white bread is onion cheese bread. Heat 1/2 cup water, and add it with 1/3 cup cottage cheese, 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese, 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese and 2 teaspoons butter cut in pieces. Add 1.5 tablespoons sugar, 1.25 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons dried onion and 1 tablespoon parsley. Float 2.75 cups flour, and add 1.25 teaspoons yeast.
Whole wheat cranberry bread is a variation on basic wheat bread. For the 1.5-pound loaf, add 1 cup heated water, 2 tablespoons cut butter, 4 teaspoons honey, 1.5 teaspoons grated orange peel and 1 teaspoon salt to the bread pan. Float 2 cups wheat bread flour mixed with 1 teaspoon vital wheat gluten, and put 2 teaspoons yeast in the well.
Set the Breadman to whole wheat. When the "add ingredients" signal beeps, add 3/4 cup dried cranberries.
