- 2 cups milk
- 1 3.4-ounce package of instant pudding in vanilla flavor
- 1 10-ounce loaf of pound cake or butter loaf cake
- 3 cups of fresh or frozen raspberries or strawberries
- Whipped cream
- Mix the pudding
- Prepare the ingredients
- Add the ingredients to a large bowl
To make the pudding, mix the milk with the pudding mix. Mix the ingredients for 2 minutes and let it stand for an additional 2 minutes.
Chop the pound cake or butter loaf into cubes. Slice the strawberries if strawberries are being used.
Add the cake cubes to the bottom of a large bowl. Layer the fruit and pudding on top of the cake. Top off the trifle with whipped cream and a few berries.
Additional fruits such as blueberries can also be used. Create a richer trifle by adding vanilla extract and sour cream to the pudding mixture.
