You can bake corned beef brisket in a roasting pan in a preheated oven at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for six hours. After brushing the brisket with browning sauce, brown the brisket in oil, place in a pan and then spread onions and garlic slices over the beef.
Before putting on the browning sauce, you can add some seasoning. You can use the packet of seasoning included in the beef. If there is not a packet of seasoning included, use peppercorns and coriander seeds, mixed with thyme, paprika, garlic and onion. For the browning sauce, use any type of sauce, such as Kitchen Bouquet. Make sure that once the beef is in the roasting pan, you add water to it.
As for fat, you can choose to cook with the fat on the beef or cut it off. If you decide to cook with the fat, position it with the fat side on top. Before placing the pan in the oven, cover the pan tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil. The approximate baking time is six hours, which is for a brisket weighing 9 pounds. The brisket usually bakes at 1 1/2 pounds per hour.
Once the beef is done, let it sit for a bit before cutting. Use an electric knife for cutting and serve the beef with steamed cabbage.
