Fill a deep fryer halfway with oil, and heat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Drop the Bisquick and apple batter into the hot oil by the tablespoonful. Cook the fritters for two to three minutes until they're golden brown. Drain the fritters on paper towels, and then sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
To make the caramel apple cake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine 1 1/2 cups Bisquick mix with 2/3 cup sugar and 1/2 cup milk to make a thick batter. Pour the batter into a 9-inch by 9-inch square pan. Top with 2 cups of apple slices, and sprinkle them with lemon juice. Mix 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon together, and then sprinkle it over the apples. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the apples. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes until cooked through in the center. Serve warm, and top with whipped cream or ice cream.
