Alcohol-free wine is wine that is produced traditionally, with the alcohol then extracted through the process of distillation. Non-alcoholic wine is popular among teetotalers and people with health issues, particularly weight gain.
Despite being considered non-alcoholic, many wines advertised as such actually have a minuscule amount of alcohol, but not enough to prompt the concerns associated with traditional alcoholic beverages. The process of ethanol distillation is used to remove the alcohol from drinks such as wine and beer, but entirely removing alcohol from these drinks is not scientifically possible. Non-alcoholic wine is particularly popular in countries with strict drinking laws, such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
