Lina Medina, from Lima, Peru, is the world's youngest mother, according to an article from "The Telegraph." Medina gave birth by Caesarean section when she was 5 years, 7 months and 21 days old in May 1939. The identity of the biological father has never been confirmed.
According to Jose Sandoval, author of "Mother Aged 5," Medina got her first menstrual period when she was 2 and a half years old and became pregnant at 4 years and 8 months. The pregnancy was originally mistaken for an abdominal tumor. When physicians examined her, they found that her sexual organs were already fully matured.
