Create your own genograms for free online on websites like FamilyEcho.com, or draw them by hand using markers and poster board. Genograms are graphic representations of a family's relations. While it does show genealogy, its purpose is to go deeper than a family tree to reveal medical, emotional and illness patterns within a family's lineage. A genogram shows marriages, love-affairs and divorces; instances of abuse, neglect and hate; and habits such as smoking and substance abuse within a family.
