Wash stubborn baby oil out of your hair with a liquid dish washing soap, such as Dawn, and a normal shampoo. If the baby oil persists in your hair after this wash, use an acidic or apple cider vinegar rinse. This process takes no more than one hour.
- Use liquid dish washing soap
Take a small amount of dish washing soap and apply to damp hair. Massage until a lather forms and ensure it does not get into your eyes. Rinse out the soap at a sink or shower after a few minutes of massaging. Towel dry hair.
- Follow with a normal shampoo wash
Use your normal shampoo to thoroughly clean out the dish washing soap that may remain in the hair. Rinse it out normally. You should avoid conditioner at this time, as well, if you normally use it.
- Use apple cider vinegar or lemon juice to rinse hair
If the baby oil persists in your hair, try one of these options next. Mix the equivalent of juice from one lemon with one cup of water and massage into scalp. After a few minutes, rinse with warm water. Similarly, you can apply 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar to the hair. After choosing one of these options, rinse out and re-shampoo. Your hair should now be oil-free.
