Newborns need clothing, diapers, blankets, personal hygiene products and beds. Each of these basic categories contains many types of products from which parents can choose.
Newborns typically need several changes a day of sleepers, onesies, undershirts and socks. Bottle-fed babies need formula, bottles, nipples, bibs and burp cloths. A few personal hygiene items include baby wash, baby shampoo, soft washcloths and hooded towels. Strollers should recline to let newborns lie down. Newborns also need safety-approved car seats.
Besides diapers, basic diaper bag supplies may include changing pads, small plastic disposal bags, diaper creams, hand sanitizers and extra changes of clothing.
