Materials needed for a corn hole game are two corn hole platforms and eight corn hole bags, requiring plywood, duck canvas and corn feed. To satisfy the American Cornhole Association's requirements, corn hole platforms must be 48 inches by 24 inches and be made from plywood 1/2-inch thick.
Each corn hole platform has one hole in it, with a diameter of 6 inches. The hole is positioned 9 inches from the top of the board and 12 inches from each side.
Corn hole bags are made from duck canvas. They are stitched with a quarter-inch double seam on each corner. Each bag is filled with approximately 2 cups of corn feed. Bags must be at least 6 by 6 inches and weigh between 14 and 16 ounces. Bags can be any color that has high visibility.
Corn hole starter kits, which contain all the equipment necessary to play, are available on stores such as Cornhole.com, as of April 2015.
The platforms are placed with the bottom ends 27 feet away from each other. Players then take turns throwing all four of their bags at the other player's platform. Throws are made from the pitcher's box. After a player completes all his throws, he receives a point for every bag on the opponent's platform, and three points for every bag that went through the hole.
