The Weight Watchers Points System or WW points are the values given to foods and drinks by the Weight Watchers organization. These points are used to assess and control the value of the food a person eats each day, to promote weight loss.
Each food item is given a points value based on its protein, carbohydrate, fat and fiber content. Each person attending Weight Watchers meetings is assigned a personalized points value per day based on current weight and other variables such as sex and age. The idea is that by ensuring that the food consumed each day does not total more than the recommended number of points, the person steadily loses weight.
