Wofford College is located in Spartanburg, S.C. The campus is located in the city's downtown section and has operated from its current location since 1864, before the American Civil War.
Wofford University is unique among colleges, because its entire campus is known as the Roger Milliken Arboretum. At Wofford, students pursue a wide variety of academic disciplines including accounting, theater and other pre-professional programs to prepare them for entering fields such as medicine or law. Outside of academic coursework, students participate in athletic programs, write for school publications, such as the Old Gold and Black student newspaper, and conduct community service programs for the betterment of the local area.
