The Angel Learning Environment from Stark State College allows students to participate in online-only and Web-enabled classes. To use the service, log in to an Angel account. To log in, students input your first initial and last name followed by your date of birth for the username. Input your initials, a period and the last six digits of your Social Security number for the password.
A student's Angel account is initiated within 48 hours of acceptance to Stark State College. To access the Angel account, Stark State recommends that students use the Firefox browser with a high-speed Internet connection.
Once logged in to your Angel account, you can select a particular course and view items such as syllabus, schedule, assignments and course outline. Additionally, use Angel to submit all assignments, view lectures and communicate with the professor. Professors often send assignments as Word document attachments, which you can select and download directly from Angel. You can log in to Angel from any computer, anywhere, though logging in from a Stark State computer to participate in an online class is not recommended.
Courses are usually not available in Angel until the beginning of the semester, though sometimes a professor opens the course early to allow students to prepare.
