JAMB is a Nigerian Entrance Examination Board and conducts the tests for intake of eligible candidates into their universities, colleges and polytechnics. A secondary school certificate from a recognised institution is required to appear for this test. The subject combination varies with the course the student chooses. For example, for an Engineering degree, the student must take exams in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry whereas a pharmacy degree aspirant must appear for Physics, Chemistry and Biology exams. There are 250 questions for a maximum score of 400.There is no passing score or a cut off score. Any score above 250 is fairly competitive score. However, the availability of a place for a selected course depends on the number of students appearing for the test as well as the number of seats available for the course.
