The University of Minnesota, Crookston is one of the five members of the University of Minnesota system. Located in northwestern Minnesota, UMC has a relatively small campus, with a total of approximately 1,100 students on campus plus another 700 online students.
UMC began offering bachelor's degrees in 1993. It provides all of its students with laptop computers and focuses on experiential learning and technology. The five largest fields of study at UMC are accounting, animal science, business management, equine science and natural resources. In addition, 13 degree programs are available solely online. The Princeton Review listed UMC as one of the best Midwestern colleges from 2008 to 2013.
