For example, University of the People is a tuition-free, accredited online university that has bachelor degree programs available to students.
Coursera.org is a website that has a large variety of college-level courses available for anybody to take. However, Coursera does not offer college credit for any of the work that is completed. Coursera does, however, offer the option to pay for a certificate of completion for the course.
There are a number of websites similar to Coursera such as edX.com. Even Harvard offers some free online open-enrollment courses, although they do not offer college credits upon completion.
